Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What is TRIDENT – Performance | Lifestyle | Wellness?

TRIDENT is a physician-led, integrated clinic concept designed to bring advanced medicine, rehabilitation, recovery services, diagnostics, and lifestyle optimization together under one roof. Our model is built around three pillars: Performance, Lifestyle, and Wellness, with the goal of helping patients recover, improve function, optimize health, and build long-term resilience.

What makes TRIDENT different from a typical wellness clinic or med spa?

TRIDENT is designed to offer a more medically grounded and strategically integrated approach than a traditional spa or stand-alone wellness center. Rather than offering disconnected services, we focus on coordinated care that may include medical evaluation, rehabilitation, diagnostics, recovery therapies, and long-term health planning.

Who is TRIDENT designed for?

TRIDENT is designed for adults who want more than temporary symptom relief. This may include people recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, rebuilding strength, improving mobility, optimizing hormones or metabolism, pursuing weight loss, improving recovery, or working toward higher performance and long-term wellness.

Do I need to be an athlete to benefit from TRIDENT’s services?

No. While many services are valuable for athletes and active adults, TRIDENT is designed for a broad range of people who want to move better, feel better, recover more effectively, and improve long-term health.

Appointments and Getting Started

How do I get started?

Getting started typically begins with a consultation, intake process, or appropriate evaluation depending on the service. This allows our team to understand your goals, symptoms, history, and needs before recommending a treatment or wellness plan.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

For many medical and performance-focused services, yes. A consultation helps determine whether a service is appropriate, safe, and aligned with your goals. Some services may also require a medical exam, diagnostic imaging, or lab review before treatment.

Can I book services online?

Website scheduling availability will depend on the service. Some appointments may be available for online booking, while others may require a consultation, screening, or staff coordination first.

How long are appointments?

Appointment length varies based on the service. Some visits may be brief follow-ups, while others, such as consultations, evaluations, diagnostics, or procedure visits, may require more time.

Medical and Clinical Questions

Do you offer physician-led care?

Yes. TRIDENT is built around a physician-led model with medical oversight for appropriate clinical services. Certain services may also involve licensed rehabilitation, hyperbaric, or allied health professionals working within their professional scope.

What types of services do you offer?

Services may include regenerative and orthopedic-focused treatments, physical therapy and rehabilitation, hormone optimization, metabolic support, GLP-1 and obesity medicine treatment, diagnostics, IV therapy, recovery modalities, dry needling, lifestyle coaching, nutrition support, and other wellness-centered interventions.

Are your treatments customized?

Yes. Our approach is designed to be individualized. Recommendations are based on a patient’s goals, symptoms, medical history, physical findings, diagnostics, lifestyle, and overall treatment strategy.

Are your services evidence-based?

TRIDENT is designed to emphasize evidence-based and medically guided care. However, the strength of evidence varies by service, condition, and patient population. Some treatments are supported by stronger clinical literature than others, and candidacy should always be determined through appropriate evaluation and informed decision-making.

Are all services appropriate for everyone?

No. Not every service is appropriate for every patient. Some services may have medical, safety, or regulatory limitations, and some people may be better served by alternative treatment options.

Regenerative and Recovery Services

What is PRP therapy?

PRP, or platelet-rich plasma therapy, uses a concentrated portion of a patient’s own blood to support the body’s healing response in selected tissues. It is commonly considered for certain tendon, ligament, muscle, or joint-related concerns.

What is prolotherapy?

Prolotherapy is a regenerative injection treatment that uses a concentrated dextrose solution to stimulate a controlled healing response in selected connective tissues. It is often considered for chronic musculoskeletal pain, ligament laxity, or tendon-related issues.

What is hydrodissection?

Hydrodissection is an ultrasound-guided injection procedure used to gently separate irritated or entrapped nerves from surrounding tissue. It may be considered for selected nerve irritation or compression conditions.

What is shockwave therapy?

Shockwave therapy uses acoustic energy to support healing responses in selected chronic tendon and soft tissue conditions. It is a noninvasive treatment option commonly used in performance and musculoskeletal care.

What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a soft tissue treatment used to address trigger points, muscle tension, and myofascial pain. It is commonly integrated with rehabilitation and movement-based treatment plans.

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)?

HBOT is a treatment delivered in a pressurized environment that increases oxygen availability in tissues. Depending on the indication, it may be used in selected healing, recovery, or rehabilitation contexts.

Lifestyle and Optimization Questions

What is hormone optimization therapy?

Hormone optimization therapy is a physician-guided process used to evaluate and address hormone-related symptoms such as fatigue, low libido, reduced strength, poor recovery, body composition changes, and reduced vitality when clinically appropriate.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation and no-show policies should be reviewed at the time of scheduling. Certain longer visits, consultations, or reserved procedure appointments may require advance notice to avoid a fee.

Safety, Privacy, and Expectations

Are your services safe?

Every medical or wellness service carries potential risks, limitations, and contraindications. Safety depends on the patient, the condition being treated, the service chosen, and the quality of screening and oversight. TRIDENT is designed to emphasize appropriate evaluation, informed consent, and individualized planning.

Will I get same-day results?

That depends on the service. Some patients may notice changes quickly, while other treatments work gradually over time or require a series of visits. No treatment outcome can be guaranteed.

Do you treat emergencies?

No. TRIDENT is not an emergency facility. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Is my information private?

TRIDENT is held to the highest standards and is expected to maintain privacy and confidentiality practices consistent with applicable law and healthcare operations. Website visitors should also review the clinic’s Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices for more information.
